THE TRAINING ON DIGITAL SKILLS FOR UNIVERSITIES
NOTICE FOR SELECTION PARTICIPANTS IN THE TRAINING ON DIGITAL SKILLS FOR UNIVERSITIES
The project team selected 5 universities per country among the East African Community Partner States. The questionnaire sent for the purpose of getting interested universities had the following indicators that were considered:
- Institutional level experience with online learning and teaching.
- Number of lecturers in the university with experience in e-learning
- Number of employees on learning platform technical support
- Number of lecturers with experience in online teaching and learning pedagogy/andragogy
- Number of employees with capabilities in online learning and teaching (students) administration
- Available internet strength
While these were considered as primary selection indicators, we also used the categories of the university: public or private.
The selection for universities that responded to the call for an expression of interest is over. We are pleased, therefore, to inform all member universities that the selection of 30 Universities out of 89 that expressed interest is complete and the training is planned to commence with the induction scheduled on 1st February 2022 (online) further information with be communicated to enrolled participants in due course.
